Collaborate with section leadership to develop, design, update and maintain 20+ websites using modern design concepts, standard HTML/CSS practices and mainstream development software such as WordPress, DNN, Dreamweaver and other content management systems. Coordinate with section leadership to develop graphics, layout, and designs for websites and other digital communications. Use web applications and custom programming to incorporate user-friendly website applications and modules. Facilitate section marketing and publications using e-blasts, websites, brochures, interactive newsletters and dynamic web pages. Coordinate with team members, section leadership and outside developers to maintain and update sites based upon section initiatives and activities. Serve as back-up for other team members by providing administrative support, traveling, planning and supervising events, and attending meetings. Must have strong communication abilities including excellent proofing, writing and editing skills, and function well in a high pressure, team environment.
College degree preferred. Must have a minimum of three years of experience building websites using WordPress or other industry standard technologies and content management systems. Must have knowledge of html, CSS, and PHP industry programming. Must be proficient in all Adobe Professional Suite and Microsoft Office applications and various website content management systems. Must have experience integrating web and mobile applications such as online registration systems, membership directories, library search engines, eCommerce systems and social media tools. Must possess strong organizational, problem-solving, negotiation and conflict management skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a team environment. Must have excellent proofing, writing and editing skills. Requires the ability to communicate in a non-technical and collaborative manner. Travel required. Public speaking skills are preferred.
