General Description

The Audio-Video-Online Media Specialist provides video production, remote recording, web streaming, live event production, and audio-visual services for TexasBarCLE and other entities of the State Bar. This position is part of a team that provides audio-visual support and records over 90 live CLE seminars each year, collectively producing over 2100 hours of video content that supports over 7 million dollars in revenue. Responsible for the recording, editing, and delivery of online video CLE. Responsible for providing technical support, audio-visual assistance, and customer service to State Bar speakers, leadership, and members.

Primary Functions

1.       Participates in the preparation and production of studio, online, and remote webcasts, live CLE seminars and other special events.

2.       Provides videotaping and audio-visual services for live seminars, webcasts, meetings, and other events, participating in all aspects of              video production and audio/visual services, including technical directing of webcasts and live seminars, lighting, streaming, camera                operating, audio recordings, interviewing, editing, graphics, projection, duplication, and distribution of online media content.

3.       Edits and prepares all video content for online delivery.

4.       Assists with the production of special video projects and other events as assigned.

5.       Provides CLE speakers, SBOT members and volunteers with audio-visual and technical support.

6.       Considerable amount of travel is required.

7.       Helps maintain studio facilities, equipment and supplies.

8.       Performs other duties as required.

Position Requirements

Requires a Bachelor degree in Radio-Television-Film (or related field) and a minimum of 3 years professional experience. Requires a valid Texas driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Must be able to travel often. Requires working knowledge of audio-visual and video production equipment such as: production switchers, cameras, projectors, recorders, microphones, audio mixers, monitors, lighting, etc. Must be proficient with computer operating systems, web browsers, and networking for both Windows and Mac. Knowledge of various computer, video editing, and streaming software/services such as: Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Keynote, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, YouTube, Vimeo, etc. Must be able to comprehend information audibly and visually in order to perform assigned responsibilities. Must have outstanding organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to work independently under continuous deadlines. Must be able to communicate effectively in writing, via phone, and in person. Must be physically able to load, unload, and set up production equipment. Required activities may include driving a van, climbing on ladders, crawling, bending, standing or sitting quietly for long periods of time, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
