This position provides project coordination for the State Bar’s Legal Access Division and the Texas Access to Justice Commission to increase awareness of access to justice issues for low-income Texans. Responsible for assisting with communication materials, including content for website, social media, e-newsletters, fundraising appeals, presentations, and other materials as needed. Responsible for graphics and visual presence of various initiatives and campaigns. Assists with the coordination of large conferences and events. Involves frequent contact with State Bar departments, committees, volunteers, and the public. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
College degree preferred. Requires at least two years related work experience. Must be able to handle multiple projects with a high level of performance, attention to detail, and accuracy. Requires exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills. Requires proficiency with creative suite software, online publication platforms, social media, MS Office, database software, and project management software. Must communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality. Ability to speak Spanish is desirable. Prior experience with legal aid organizations or a nonprofit is desirable. A skills test on Photoshop and a skills test to edit text for publication are required. A writing sample in plain language of no more than 1,000 words written at a 9th grade reading level is also required.
