The Texas Access to Justice Foundation awards annual grants to programs assisting disadvantaged Texans with civil legal matters. The primary purpose of the Grants Administrative Assistant position is to provide day-to-day administrative support to the Director of Grants and other Program Officers. The Grants Administrative Assistant administers grantee programmatic and fiscal activities related to multiple funds granted to non-profit legal services organizations throughout Texas and streamlines grant management utilizing the online grants system. This position is responsible for the oversight and maintenance of accurate grant data for the Foundation. Other administrative duties include planning and logistics for all grant-related meetings. Graduation from standard high school or equivalent. Two years’ experience in office setting or undergraduate degree required. Experience in grant administration, project administration or finance is desirable. Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook; database management experience; accurate data reporting skills; report analysis and creation skills required. Must be a highly organized self-starter, detail-oriented and able to work under pressure managing multiple time-sensitive projects. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including grammatical accuracy in all written and oral communications required. Must have the ability to problem-solve and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner, work effectively with fellow employees and as part of a team. Previous experience with foundations is desirable.
