General Description

The Program Administrator administers the Law Practice Management program in the Law Practice Management Department. The Program Administrator works with the Law Practice Management Committee to develop innovative, useful resources that assist Texas attorneys in developing and managing their law practices. The Program Administrator also manages content on practice management issues for the texasbarpractice.com website and answers practice management questions from members of the Bar. Involves contact with volunteer lawyers, judges, and professors as well as frequent contact with State Bar departments, committees, and the public. Reports directly to the Director of the Law Practice Management Department.This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. 

Primary Functions

1. Provide consultation with State Bar members, local bar associations, or other members of the public concerning practices management issues.
2. Develop website content on succession planning and other law practice management topics.
3. Work with volunteer members of the Law Practice Management Committee to develop resources on law practice management topics.
4. Provide consultation with State Bar members on law practice management issues.
5. Coordinate with partner organizations to develop resources and disseminate information on succession planning and other law practice management topics.
6. Perform other responsibilities as required.

Position Requirements

J.D. or L.L.B. required. License to practice law in the State of Texas preferred. Experience in law office management and knowledge of modern law office technology required. Must be able to write clearly and have excellent communication skills, diplomacy, and discretion. Must be able to work under deadline pressure and prioritize multiple work assignments and long-term projects. Occasional travel required.
