Performs routine and non-routine, scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and repairs of the building, equipment and mechanical systems for the State Bar of Texas. Works under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager. Involves frequent contact with other staff members of the State Bar and occasional contact with outside maintenance and service personnel.

1. Operates and maintains the HVAC systems.
2. Performs regularly scheduled maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
3. Sets up meeting rooms for meetings, special events and conferences.
4. Performs various tasks to ensure the safety and security of the staff and building.
5. Logs gauge and meter readings daily.
6. Performs chemical analysis and treatment for cooling tower and fountain.
7. Performs minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs.
8. Performs other responsibilities as required.

High school education or equivalent and a minimum of two years of related work experience required. Requires general knowledge of all mechanical systems; HVAC, plumbing, electrical, telephone, fire and safety, record keeping and OSHA standards. Requires general handy man skills. Must be available to work weekends and over-time when necessary.
