This position provides project coordination for the State Bar’s Legal Access Department and the Texas Access to Justice Commission to support increasing access to justice for low-income Texans. The position assists with the coordination of large conferences, events, and meetings. Also, facilitates communication efforts regarding access to justice issues, including outreach via listservs, social media, and other web-based efforts. Involves frequent contact with State Bar departments, committees, volunteers, and the public.
College degree preferred. Requires at least two years related work experience. Must be able to handle multiple projects with a high level of performance, attention to detail, and accuracy. Requires exceptional communication and organizational skills. Requires proficiency with creative suite software, online publication platforms, social media, MS Office, database software, and project management software. Must communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality. Ability to speak Spanish is desirable. Prior experience with legal aid organizations or a nonprofit is desirable.
