Provides a variety of general administrative support services to the Chief Disciplinary Counsel’s office and serves as the first point of contact for the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel. This front-line position must be knowledgeable about all aspects of the services provided by and work of the department and organization in order to respond to the myriad of questions from callers and refer callers to the appropriate individuals in the organization. This position also supports the Office of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel handling various administrative responsibilites and is cross-trained to handle legal secretary responsibilities as needed. Involves frequent contact with the public, State Bar membership, State Bar staff, and individuals and organizations outside the State Bar.
High school education or equivalent required. A minimum of two-years of related experience in customer service and administrative office work required. Requires technical competency including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Teams, as well as Adobe, Zoom, case tracking software and on-line databases. Requires the following skills: verbal and written communication, listening, customer service, conflict management, and attention to detail. Bilingual in Spanish required.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule of remote work and in office at the discretion of employer.
