This position provides project coordination for the State Bar’s Legal Access Department and the Texas Access to Justice Commission to support increasing access to justice for low-income Texans.  The position assists with the coordination of large conferences, events, and meetings. Provides a variety of general administrative support services to the Chief Disciplinary Counsel’s office and serves as the first point of contact for the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel. Manage, coordinate and perform the activities related to the maintenance of the Texas Law Center and the contents related to the mechanical functioning, including the grounds. Keep all mechanical systems in working order and operating within applicable safety and fire regulations, as well as federal, state and local building codes. Ensure the Texas Law Center, including the grounds, provides a safe, comfortable environment for members, visitors, staff and the public.

Assists the TBLS Associate Executive Director (Associate ED) in performing various responsibilities which includes implementing policies established by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS). Works closely with the Executive Director of TBLS, the Board, and other volunteers involved in the certification program. Responsible for member and public communications, publicity of the certification program, and the design and maintenance of the TBLS website including the TBLS database. Assists in the development and administration of TBLS attorney and paralegal certification exams.

The Texas Access to Justice Foundation (TAJF) was created by the Supreme Court of Texas to administer the Texas IOLTA (Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts) Program.  This is a mandatory program in which attorneys are required to earn interest on their nominal and/or short-term trust funds. The Texas Lawyers’ Assistance Program (TLAP) of the State Bar of Texas seeks an experienced, collegial and highly professional licensed attorney or a Masters level licensed therapist (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) to work in support of TLAP’s mission, which is to provide confidential support and referrals for lawyers, law students and judges who are experiencing issues with substance use and/or mental health. The Program Officer serves on the Grants Team and reports to the Director of Grants. Responsible for implementing and managing all aspects of assigned Foundation grantees and informing the team of all information and issues pertinent to the TAJF grantee community as a whole. Interfaces with the communications manager on all public relations specific to assigned grantees and projects. Serves as a key member of the Foundation's Grants Team to implement all aspects of grant-making and monitoring initiatives that result in achieving TAJF’s mission and vision.
